The American Farm

Associate Field Producer

Five family farms navigate the risks and rewards of farming in every corner of the United States.

Believe it or not, your Thanksgiving turkey didn’t just appear at the grocery store. It hatched from an egg and maybe appeared on this incredible docuseries from History. My time in the field (literally), producing and filming this series is among the work I’m most proud of. For nearly nine months, I followed an incredible family of turkey farmers in Sanpete County, Utah. In addition to learning the meaning of hard work, I cut my teeth producing real people, filmed their happiest moments, and kept the cameras rolling when they hit rock bottom. If you’ve ever met me, odds are you’ve heard some stories from my time in Utah. I learned from the best in the biz and will never take the holiday roast for granted ever again.
